Middlesbrough in the North East of England may not sound like the epicentre of the dance music universe, however in October 2003, with the inception of underground house club night *riffraff, Lee Pennington (Section 75) put his two feet firmly on the first rung of the DJing ladder.

Launched initially as a one-off promotional event to help promote his debut release on Source of Gravity Recordings, it quickly developed into an event that would cater for those people who appreciate forward thinking and thoughtful house music.

Since the mid 2000’s Lee has been a highly respected producer of underground house music under his own name alongside his Section 75 and riffraff aliases. He has tracks available on several independent labels that are supported by the likes of Hernan Catteneo, Nick Warren, Steve Lawler, John Digweed, Scott Bradford, Paul Van Dyk and many more A-list Djs.

As well as his resident DJ duties at *riffraff, Lee can often be found DJing across Europe playing his own brand of progressive / tech house to the masses.  He has also toured America with the Source of Gravity label. By being part of *riffraff he has played with majority of the UKs top respected underground artists.

*riffraff has visited the world famous Back2Basics club, Shindig, Sankeys, Area 51 and the one and only Ministry Of Sound. *riffraff is also present over the summer months in Ibiza at the hugely popular Zoo project where Lee plays week in week out to thousands of people.

He has been a busy man with radio broadcast appearances on Energy FM, Red & Blues Shake show, Digiprana Sounds, Downshift Radio, LRCN's shows The Bidness & Four4 (formerly 4x4 101) on DI.FM & AfterhoursDJs.org respectively, and now his own show hosted on Proton alongside Source Of gravity boy Tim Mills.

With DJ gigs coming thick and fast across the UK and Europe, running *riffraff, remix and production duties, Lee is a busy man and shows no sign of stopping!
