Promotions Services
Kahua has built up a strong reputation within house music through our contacts, expertise, knowledge and targeted approach to promotions. When our CDs drop through a letter box or an email arrives in an inbox, the recipient automatically knows that the music will be relevant to them. This has resulted in us achieving very high feedback rates for the projects we work on. Kahua offers services in the area of Tastemaker Promotions (carried out before release) and Comsumer Marketing (at the time of release).
Tastmaker Promotions Services We offer a comprehensive service covering the three main areas of tastemaker promotions:
We work closely with record labels to provide tailor-made and realistic services based on their requirements and budget. Our pricing includes options for individual releases and longer term campaigns. The nature of dance music means that there is a focus on single and EP releases, however, we feel that there is still a great benefit in building up consistency and interest over a period of time. The following sections provide more detail on each of the three core areas: Club DJs
We handle all of the adminstrative tasks - the record label simply provide us with the music, artwork and any supporting information and we do the rest. We provide regular updates while the campaign is in progress and a final feedback report at the end, which can be used in subsequent sales and marketing activities. The DJs who receive the music are hand-picked for every project we work on to ensure the most relevant people get the music. We currently have in excess of 400 contacts including the main players in the house scene. Our database includes A-list DJs such as Sandy Rivera, Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Steve Lawler and Roger Sanchez. Our flexible approach allows the label to have as much input as they want in deciding who receives the music. Specialist Radio
As with Club DJ mail outs we handle all of the administrative tasks, including writing a press release and burning CDs. We provide regular feedback from DJs and information on the plays received while the campaign is in progress and as part of the final feedback report. Press
The second service is aimed at acheiving features, interviews and articles. This is generally recommended when a label has a bigger project to promote such as an artist album or mix compilation. As with the other services we will produce a press release and CDs and report all feedback. Our press services are focused on the UK but we also work with a selection of key magazines in other countries.
Consumer Marketing Services Email Services
Kahua can provide a facility to allow labels and artists to gather email addresses and build their own database. Messageboard/Forum Services
