Tastemaker Promotions Services
We offer a comprehensive service covering the three main areas of tastemaker promotions:

We work closely with you to provide tailor-made and flexible services based on your requirements and budget.  Each of the three areas can be targeted individually or we can create a package covering a number of areas.  Our promotions solutions can be used for individual releases or longer term campaigns.

We use a dedicated state-of-the-art mp3 delivery and feedback collection system to send promos, which generates high response rates compared to standard email or CD delivery methods.  To see how our promo delivery system works please request a sample campaign here.  We also recognise that some people prefer CDs and so we accomodate this within our service, manufacturing and mailing CDs on your behalf.

All tastemaker promotions campaigns are fully managed by Kahua Music; we handle all of the administrative tasks, creation of press releases, hosting of music and communications with promo recipients – you simply provide us with the music, artwork and any supporting information and we do the rest.  We provide regular detailed updates on recipient feedback while the campaign is in progress and a final feedback report upon project completion.

We will provide a targeted campaign aimed at raising awareness around a particular project or boosting the overall profile of an artist or record label.  This service is typically focussed on achieving features and coverage in magazines and on websites, as well as on radio shows through interviews and guest mixes.  It can also include some of our online marketing solutions.


Press Releases, Biographies, Press Kits and One-Sheets
Kahua Music can write professional press releases for your releases, events and other projects, as well as biographies for your artists and record label.  Our experience from working with journalists (and working as journalists ourselves) means that we understand what makes for a good press release or biography and how to convey the key points within them.  Having well written and well presented documents can also be very beneficial for your image, branding and identity.

We can also prepare professional and effective one-sheets; these are documents containing all the key information about your release and which are used by distributors, download stores and record shops when deciding whether to give your music feature spots on their websites.  We have helped labels to achieve feature spots on a wide variety of websites including front page placements on key stores such as Beatport, Juno and Stompy.

Messageboard/Forum Services
Kahua will design a web forum post which can be placed onto relevant messageboards and forums to target potential customers and drive sales.

Kahua Music can set up an integrated network of online social networking platforms and music services on behalf of your label or artists to help you achieve maximum exposure for minimum on-going effort.  The platforms we work with include Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Soundcloud, iLike, Reverbnation, Wordpress and Blogger.
