Raise Recordings is an offshoot of Drop Music, the label run by Laurence Ritchie of the Inland Knights. Launched in 2007, Raise follows a similar path to it's bigger brother Drop, releasing the finest deep house with a sound rooted in the UK's Midlands free party scene. To date all Raise releases have come from the Inland Knights themselves. Links
Founded in 2005, Prismatic Tracks is run out of San Francisco’s famed Moulton Studios complex by DJ and producer Andrew Phelan. The label is focused on a blend of deep, funk, and tech based house music, driven by the sounds of musicians and vocalists such as Origami, Sen-Sei, Audio Angel and Brown. Prismatic’s roster features some of the premier names in house music, including Bon Johnson, Bryan Jones, Chris Lum, Christian Malloni, Jakes Childs, Jazzy Eyewear, Jevne, Leon Louder, Q-Burns Abstract Message, Ross Couch, Santiago & Bushido, and Sleazy McQueen. Drop Music have been in the business since 1998; their catalogue is renowned in the dance music community for the quality and consistency of its work. Adopting various guises to showcase different aspects of their sound, including Party Criminals, In House Alterations, Grand Theft Audio and Big Audio Spidermite, Toka Project, Larry Fives and Inland Knights, the duo of Laurence Ritchie and Andy Riley have been responsible for most of the Drop catalogue. As enthusiastic about DJing as studio production Ritchie and Riley have maintained a relentless international touring agenda since their collaboration began.
In 2007, to mark the 50th Drop Music release, Inland Knights released a two part EP package to widespread acclaim, with 50 Part 1 becoming an instant rarity and Part 2 becoming yet another a Drop classic. 2007 also saw the launch of Raise, Drops sister label. Into 2008 and Inland knights are busy in the studio with remixes, EPs and compilations, as well as regular DJ slots every weekend. Drop Music is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a double CD compilation with all the label’s past artists putting forward new tracks and some exclusive new remixes. Links ![]() ![]() ![]() |
