Phobic Recordings is the label run by Tom Latham of Special Interest. Their first releases come from the likes of Andy Kinky, Chuck Daniels, Latenight Society, Toka Project, DJ Mes, Special Interest and Vernon & Dacosta, and helped to quickly establish the label as one to watch.
   
Founded in 2006, Yakuza Recordings has established a solid role in the underground house scene all over the world. The two DJs and producers behind the label, Soydan and Murad L, have quickly made their mark with Yakuza and found fans in DJs such as Mark Farina and Heather. The labels roots are in Turkey but thye now call Waterford, Ireland their home. 
South African deep house label WOT! Recordings is based in Africa’s house capital, Johannesburg. The label has set high standards for itself after impressing right out of the block with a debut release from Belgium’s Swirl Peepz. Other artists and remixers on the roster include Germany’s Matthias Tanzmann, Los Angeles (now South Africa) based Jake Childs and the UKs Toka Project. Under the guidance of international deep house DJ and producer Brett Jackson, who is considered one of the leading deep house DJ’s and producers in South Africa by peers and househeads alike the country over, this young label promises to make its mark on the international house scene from the very start. TFE RECORDS (an acronym of Tendenzen Freier Entfaltung) was founded by Tobias Koch and Ronny Kraak in spring of 2006. It has quickly become one of the most respected German tech-house labels thanks to releases by the likes of Bigger Than Jesus, Consistent, Cagney & Lacey and remixes by Jesse Rose, Oliver $ and Perc. Pete ‘Dafeet’ Morgan started Southside Shuffle as a means to promote music from young, like minded producers. Back in 2008 after a two year hiatus, Southside Shuffle aims to showcases fresh and innovative music from around the world, specialising in deep house and electronic grooves. With releases from a mix of respected names such as Jay Tripwire and Harold Heath and fast developing talent such as The Systemite and Johan ELG and Pete himself, the label aims to make its mark in 2008. Red Music is a Croatian based label, set up in 2003 and run expertly by Ilija Rudman ever since. The labels ethos is quite simply “to showcase finest of electronic music from around the globe.” Red Music aren’t prolific in their output but when a release comes along they make sure it’s of the highest quality. Artists who have appeared on the label include electro pioneer Greg Wilson, Bonar Bradberry, Molecule & Mr Vigs, PBR Streetgang, Votekk, Damir K. Rogina and Ilija Rudman himself. |
