Trendy Mullet is a genre bending record label that sticks two fingers up to all the anal f**kers out there who follow passing fads because everyone else does! You don't have to be cool to like our music, your name doesn't have to be on the list! You're all invited! Our sole aim is to put out music that will make people dance, therefore our releases span the various genres of the electronic music scene! from house to techno with a little funk and a bit of jack inbetween. This industry seems to contain so many attitudes and over inflated egos and to be fair we’ve come across a few of these in the short time we’ve been putting on nights, making tracks and playing out. We as people have neither attitude or an over inflated ego and therefore we take the same approach to our music. That’s why some of our releases may contain a little quirkiness! The occasional slice of funk, bit of a cheeky sample and at times lashing of techy sauce! It's music to make you shake your buts, we wont follow any passing fad to stay up with the masses. If we dont feel it we wont make it. Our aim is simply to put out quality tracks to make people dance, from the deeper stuff to jackin’ right through to some proper tech house. We’ll even throw in some down tempo beats for the after hours. To date we've done this using a blend of young up and coming talent fused with some more established players on the scene.

From the embers of the UK party scene comes Unpopular, a new independent label starting fires all over the place. Based in Nottingham, with a diverse roster of artists from the UK and the US, Unpopular will be unleashing a huge range of music, from pop songs to dancefloor action, right through to ambient pieces, with all sorts in between. In short, underground popular music.

Unpopular’s wide-reaching catalogue includes a variety of exciting projects. For example, straight-up pop songs sit happily alongside collaborations between dance music producers from the UK and US. Or, carefully conceived pieces, made from days and nights spent making field recordings and collecting “found sounds”, compliment tripped-out electronica. Then, Indie-breakbeat songs are given the soundclash treatment when going toe-to-toe with a nu-reggae dub and an underground house mix. Next thing, smoky downbeat grooves are offset by a peak-time dancefloor bomb. So, the concept of the label is non-genre-specific with no niche pandered to and no style written off. The only element of the label’s output that is predictable is its high quality.

The Unpopular roster includes:
Brown - Nottingham-based electronic pop band who change styles more often than they change their pants.
George Cochrane - San Francisco-based singer/songwriter/producer extraordinaire.
Magic Fly - a reggae and mash-up merchant and leftfield sample-digger of great repute.
Ross Warm - a member of Brighton’s Warm soundsystem and producer of soulful deep house and late night grooves.
Harry Twang - Nottingham-based producer of cleverly-crafted electronica and brain-tingling downbeat.
Andrew Phelan & Origami - San Francisco-based dance music heavyweights and residents of the legendary Moulton Studios.

Back To The Future Recordings is the offspring of the house night based in Nottingham UK. Back To The Future  has been running for 3 years throwing various parties around the Midlands including a 2 year spell at the club dubbed the Fabric of the north, Stealth. Focusing on all things House booking guests such as Terry Francis, Brett Johnson, Phil Weeks, Nathan Coles, Allister Whitehead, Jay Tripwire, Eddie Richards, Dave Mothersole, Ben Annand, Andy Sant, Deep N Dub and C Soul to name a few. The label takes things to the next level concentrating on bringing quality House to the masses, with plenty of hot tracks set for release!

Baker Street Recordings was been founded by production duo Holmes & Watz, otherwise known as Jacob Kelly and Paul Hardy.  Jacob has been in the music circles for some time now as a DJ and producer releasing tracks on such labels as Mff, PE Music and 3am Recordings. Paul also has been rapped up in the music scene, and works for 2020 Vision Recordings Ltd running one of their sister labels .dotbleep.  For these reasons Jacob and Paul are both very confident about running their own label.

The label's sound is not one of the future but a sound of good House music, meaning they have an open mind towards the music they hear and sign to the label.  Artists include Lil Mark, Pete Dafeet, Leon Louder, Justin Harris, Dubble D, Monoman and of course Holmes & Watz.

Sean Smith's Chicago-based Smooth Agent Records has been releasing premium deep and soulful-tinged house from some of the scene's finest since 2003.  Artists working with Smooth Agent include Chicago legend Stacy Kidd, Dajae, Andre Harris, Karu, Bernard Baddie, Bryan Baiee and Nature Love, Johnny Fiasco, Roy Davis Jr and of course Sean Smith himself.
